For a confidential AI startup, Isfan designs and builds conversational AI products end-to-end. The current one is a Russian-language AI companion whose hard problem is memory: a dual-layer long-term memory architecture (MemGPT/Letta plus Mem0) lets it remember a relationship across months, not just a context window.

On top of memory sit relationship-state modeling — the companion knows where it stands with the user — and proactive messaging, where the agent decides to reach out first. Stack: Anthropic Claude API, Redis, PostgreSQL.
